I will take you back for a bit,
Not too far just a few months back. It’s the year 2015 I’m in my early 20’s I haven’t even seen half of what life has to offer I’m far from being named among the sages But I seem to be sought in love affairs (very strange considering my status) I haven’t had that many love stories that you can borrow lessons from But I can say that I have seen both sides of the coin God’s love and the devil’s wrath I haven’t seen it all but I’ve seen enough Enough of this said ‘love’ This red-day valentine’s affair This, roses are cute, teddy bears are better thing This make love not war inspiration This seemingly deteriorating belief This devastatingly conditional affair I think I have seen enough I’ve seen the girl who can’t stop Can’t stop the craze, can’t stop the want The feelings that bubble out of her She can’t put them to a halt So she has her way with every guy that approaches her Not because she is a crazy slut as many people view her But because her view is distorted and maybe still She doesn’t know that to stop she must do just that Stop- no magic just make the decision I’ve seen the guy who finds himself in her He can’t believe he can have a life without her Without her he is utterly miserable and possibly useless So he chases after her, He works to get her and he holds on to her with all he has He does all he can to please her because guess what? He can’t live without her And who is she? She is every girl, every woman ready to ‘love’ him I’ve seen her Image of perfection, spitting image of Cleopatra Beautiful smiles, high cheekbones Not too thin, not too big Just enough flesh to turn heads Fashion statement- high fashion definitely! She’s got to keep him interested But deep down she’s broken and shattered The windows to her soul betray the aura of confidence she depicts See she had to keep him with her So she got rid of ‘it’ Part of her was gone and all for what? Acceptance? Pardon for a wrong unknown? Image is everything in this game This game of love I’ve met him before The alpha of the crew He’s the guy every guy wants to be He is the envy of the geeks and the nerds Not for his jerky nature but for his wide range If choose he must, then at his disposal ladies are But better yet why not switch them up? He doesn’t know himself any better than the next guy If anything he doesn’t even know himself So he crushes those he can but fights to keep them still What’s love got to do with it anyway? I’ve met many Maybe a little to many on the path they call love They say this is how they know it They want more More More They cry for more I think I’ve seen enough of this thirst for love But I’m only in my early 20’s What do I know about love? Maybe I have seen too little Maybe enough is not enough.
